MSC Cruises enhances its international dining
excellence on board

A cruise is only as memorable as the experience enjoyed while on board.

Yes, an MSC Cruise offers magical routes and cultural experiences, and many guests love the fact that they can cover so many dream destinations in one incredible itinerary. Yet the luxurious, pampered quality of life on board any of our cruise ships is what many of our guests come back for year after year.

In fact, our level of service is so high that we are just as famous for our on board activities and culinary excellence as we are for the magic dream-like destinations our guests wake up to every day.

We take great pride on our fine dining experiences and have, over the years, collaborated with some of the world’s finest and most sought-after chefs to create unforgettable emotions as well as enabling our guests to discover new cultures and tastes, whilst cruising on the world’s most modern fleet.

This year, we are delighted to announce a new partnership with celebrated Pan-Asian chef and international culinary pioneer, Roy Yamaguchi. Revered for his culinary skills and recognized as the innovator of Hawaiian inspired cuisine. The ground-breaking Japanese-American chef will bring his unique fusion of cooking traditions to MSC Cruises. Initially with a dedicated presence and specialty restaurant on board our new next-generation ship, MSC Seaside – one of the company’s most innovative and revolutionary ships – which will come into service in December 2017 and sail year-round from Miami to the Caribbean.

As part of the partnership, Chef Yamaguchi will be personally involved in conceptualizing and designing every element of the new pan-Asian restaurant, bringing his creative flair and vision to every single detail of the gastronomic experience.

This includes everything from creating the recipes, menus, selecting chinaware to enhance the dishes, music selection for the right ambience all the way through to the wine pairings to complement the food and even the choice of the paper used for the menus.

The addition of chef Yamaguchi to our internationally-acclaimed chef line up further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing international fine dining on board our modern fleet. MSC Cruise’s internationally-acclaimed chef line up now contains award-winning chefs such as Two-star Michelin chef Carlo Cracco who designs special Christmas and New Year menus each year and has created an exclusive recipe for the Gala Menu, Jean-Phillippe Maury, the French chocolatier and pastry chef who tempts guests with his sweet creations on board MSC Divina and acclaimed Chinese chef Jereme Leung who will bring his contemporary Chinese cuisine and signature dishes to MSC Lirica.

These exciting collaborations with the leading global experts in their respective cuisines and with our dedication to creating unique on board experiences, are all part of our mission to offer unforgettable experiences on board an MSC Cruise.

After all, an MSC Cruise is not just any cruise and eating on board an MSC Cruise is not just any unforgettable gastronomy experience.
